Panam City in Sonargaon
Panama City is one of the 100 most ruined historical cities in the world.Panama City is the oldest city in Bengal.The distance from Dhaka to Panam City is 27 kilometers.Once upon a time there was a rich Hindu community living here.There was also a thriving business of muslin cloth.The ancient city is nothing like it was before.Now there are only those historic old houses to visit.
In 2006, Panama City topped the list of the world's 100 most devastated installations.Big City, Khas Nagar and Panama City, Panama City is the most interesting of these 3 cities of ancient Sonargaon.It is known that a university was established here in the 14th century.And here come the world's most famous teachers.There are 52 colonial installations on both sides of Panama City. It has 31 installations on the north and 21 installations on the south.The architecture of the installations is similar to the European style of Mughal art.Panama City has been built with perfect design.Almost every house has living patterns.
The canals and ponds on both sides of the water supply of this city can be noticed.Apart from residential buildings, there are places of worship, bath house & court houses etc.
There are some other establishments in the vicinity of Panama City such as 'Chhota Sardar Bari', 'Neel Kuthi', Isa Kha's Mahal, Banik Basti, 'Thakur Bari', etc.
The 'Bangladesh Folk and Crafts Foundation' was established on 12 March 1975 in an old house in the historic Panam City of Sonargaon to develop the flowing folk culture of rural Bengal.Later, the 'Bangladesh Folk and Crafts Foundation' was shifted to the 100-year-old Sardar's house.There is a rich library, Karu Palli and a huge lake.
Here are the handicrafts of the illiterate artists of the neglected rural Bengal of Bangladesh, the daily necessities of public life.In these artefacts, the historical folk art of ancient Bengal of that time came to the fore.Sardar's house has 10 galleries and the galleries include wood carvings, handicrafts, bot art, tribal life patterns, rural folk life environment, folk musical instruments, burnt clay patterns, copper, cassava, brass patterns, iron made patterns and folk ornaments.
Carrying about 1000 years of history and heritage, this ruin is almost Panam City.
This handsome Panam City was established 1000 years ago as the bearer of the heritage and culture of the Bengalis.Today, the city is almost in ruins.But even after that, every brick and wood of it has been carrying the history and tradition of the kings, kings and subjects of that period.
In the month of Baishakh, folk fairs are organized here throughout the year. In this fair traditional programs of folk music, jatrapala, kavigan, etc. are organized. You can also take a boat trip to the lake in front of the museum. And in the winter there are ticketing and fishing arrangements. There is a canteen to cater to visitors.

You will leave Gulistan in Dhaka at Morgapara crossroads. The rent here will be 40-50 taka. And may take about 1 hour. You have to go to the museum by auto from Morgapara crossroads. The rent here will be 10 taka. per person. And the entrance fee to the museum is 20 taka. per person.
And keep in mind that the museum closes every Wednesday and Thursday.
